Caring For Your Handmade Piece

Thank you so much for supporting The Threaded Tabby! Every item is thoughtfully handmade in our cozy little sewing studio with care and attention to detail. Following these care instructions will help keep your garment looking beautiful for years to come.

  • Washing

    • Turn the garment inside out before washing.
    • Machine wash in cold water on a gentle cycle.
    • Wash with similiar colors.
    • Use a mild detergent of your preference.
    • Do not use bleach or harsh chemicals

  • Drying

    For the longest life, lay flat or hang to dry.

    If you must use a dryer:

    • Tumble dry on low heat only.
    • Most fabrics are custom printed; meaning the images are printed onto the fabric. High heat could potentially cause the ink to bleed. The Threaded Tabby is not responsible for ruined items caused by improper care.
    • Remove promptly to help minimize wrinkles and shrinkage.

    High heat may shorten the life of handmade garments

  • Ironing

    Do Not Iron!

    If necessary, use a steamer to help reduce wrinkles

  • Handmade with Love

    Each item is individually handcrafted, so slight variations are part of what makes your piece unique. These are not flaws-they're a reminder that your clothing was made by hand, not by a factory.

  • Fabric Information

    Our fabrics are professionally printed and carefully selected for comfort and durability.

    Please note:

    • Colors may appear slightly different depending on your screen settings.
    • Natural fading can occur over time with repeated washing and wear.

  • Pet-Friendly Home

    The Threaded Tabby is a pet-friendly home sewing studio.

    While pets are never allowed to interact with fabrics, cutting tables, sewing equipment, or finished products, they do live in our home and do enter the room where fabric is stored. Every effort is made to keep your items clean and protected throughout the sewing process.
